A new boat marina that will serve Lake Wylie is under construction in Gaston County. This is all part of the McLean residential development project, where 800 homes are being built in three distinct communities along South New Hope and Armstrong roads.

 
This will be a public marina with four docks (32 boat slips) and 10 personal watercraft docking stations. It will also include a boat ramp, courtesy dock, a gasoline pump, and a marine sanitation pump-out station for boats equipped with toilets.
